The site includes administrative data on the park (such as accessibility and physical dimensions of the park) and educational resources (including some online resources) for teachers about the site. It describes the general environment and activities one can expect when visiting the site. Though for the most part, the website pertains to general information about visiting the archaeological site, there is also a page that includes an online publication of the administrative history and cultural discussion of the Aztec Ruins, published in 1990. The web site is a typically descriptive overview similar to most given by the Park Service, but the link to the administrative history and cultural discussion of the ruins provides more in-depth information about the site. |

Evaluating Models of Chaco |
| |
Description |
"Evaluating Models of Chaco" is an online conference sponsored by Stephen H. Lekson and J. McKim Malville of the University of Colorado. Some in-depth descriptive material on Chaco, including an online tour, is included, but the focus of the site is on differing models of Chaco. A bibliography (slightly outdated) is included. The site owners invite feedback, promising to post comments, criticisms, and reactions. Though there is no evidence that the site is current (nothing seems to date beyond the late 90s), this online conference provides a good introduction to competing theories. However, those interested in learning more about Chaco should also consider some more current sources. |
