  Description This text, fully titled "Archeological Field Work In Northeastern Arizona. The Museum-Gates Expedition Of 1901"by Walter Hough, was published by the Government Printing Office in 1903 and is available online through the University of Arizona Library's Southwest E-Text Center. It describes archaeological field work in the White Mountains, Little Colorado, and Hopi regions of northeastern Arizona.

  Title Arizona-Sonora Documents Online
  Description This web sites provides web access to digital images of archival collections relating to Arizona and Sonora, Mexico that are located at three Arizona repositories: the University of Arizona Library Special Collections; the Arizona Historical Society-Tucson; and the Arizona State Library, Archives, and Public Records. The documents included in Arizona-Sonora Documents Online site primarily date to the 19th and 20th centuries, and deal with subjects such as ranching, mining, land grants, Chinese immigration, border issues, and government. Documents are in both Spanish and English.

  Title Historic Documents Related to the Navajo treaty of 1868
  Description This is a great selection of transcribed historical documents relating to the Navajo Treaty of 1868 and the Long Walk. The site includes council proceedings, a status report from 1864, the Treaty itself and maps. Particularly interesting is a letter from Lieutenant George Pettis to his wife. It was February 1864 and he talks about the hardships at Fort Sumner and of the march there. An essential collection of documents for anyone interested in this period.

  Title Indian Affairs: Laws and Treaties
  Description This is the online version of a 7-volume compilation by Charles J. Kappler in 1904. The text covers U.S. Government treaties with Native Americans from 1778-1883 (Volume II) and U.S. laws and executive orders concerning Native Americans from 1871-1970 (Volumes I, III-VII). Though not specific to the Southwest, treaties with Southwestern tribes are included.
