Other Considerations

Before you begin using SIG, you may want to consider a few other points.

1. Remember that sites change, and we at SIG cannot be responsible for the content of all web sites included in this resource. Even though we have evaluated these web sites, sites change and you should always be on the lookout for misinformation. Part of becoming a good web user is developing your critical thinking skills. Let us know if you see anything that looks suspicious or that you know is incorrect.

2. Likewise, though we have tried to include all high–quality sites on Southwestern US and Northwestern Mexico studies, we may have missed a few. If you need to be comprehensive, we suggest that you use search engines and other web research tools in addition to SIG. You are welcome to suggest additional sites for inclusion.

3. Finally, if you would like to use material from one of the web sites included in SIG, you must get permission. How do I acknowledge SIG? has information about citing web resources. If you want to use an image and are unsure whether you are allowed to do so, read the "Terms and Conditions" or "Disclaimer" page. If you are still unsure, contact the web manager.
